Moratorium on words

Should the unsaid be said or the said be taken back
which is worse to not have said what needed to be said
or to have said and then wished to have not said

which is worse?

or are they the same
a word not spoken when needed
or
a word spoken that needed not to be

hmmmm

your thoughts

I believe in living with no regrets...

I say what i want to say, what's in my heart and let the rest take care of itself

That's a toughie,i would have thought the saying and having wished not too have said would be worse, but sometimes not saying what has to be said can be destructive too.So i shall sit on the fence on this one...

I think they both carry the same weight.

Words are like eggs, once spoken/ broken can not be taken back/ out back in its shell

Also words unspoken that really needed to be said can destroy someone's life.

I'll have to say to not have said what needed to be said.... if it needed to be said, then it ought to come out. Not to express oneself is to cage oneself within. Where is the liberty in that? Now we then ask....what are the things that "need" to be said and things that "need not" be said so we pick wisely.

*The former is better than the latter*

Everything I've read in the book of proverbs point more to the former, because our words are golden and once spoken we cannot take them back. Proverbs 26:18-19 says, "18 Like a madman who throws firebrands, arrows, and death, is the man who deceives his neighbor, and says, “I was only joking!”

Words are powerful, u can't say u were just joking for instance, after having said something really intense! The tongue, as small as it is, is the most powerful part of our bodies, as it has the power of "life" or "death." Words can make or break a person. That's why there's also power in the WORD of God.

I love this reflection...

Btw, I also support the fact that there are some things that MUST be said, though we still have to be very careful about "how" we say what needs to be said...
